Ancient Gingko Trees Draws Spectators As It Sheds Thousands Of Golden Leaves

Nestled in the Zhongnan Mountains in China there is ancient ginkgo tree in the Gu Guanyin Buddhist Temple. Many spectators  flock to witness one amazing show this tree performs every fall - shedding thousands and thousands of golden leaves into hoard at its base.

For 1400 hundreds since its first bloom, this magnificent tree turns into a beautiful golden statue and its leaves drop off into a deep yellow sea on the temple grounds every autumn. This rare spectacle of nature draws in crowds of tourists from the region and around China. They witness an imperial display of the uncountable thin twigs and branches dressed in golden leaves, each breeze causing them to flutter to the ground in hundreds until the tree is left bare yet imposing as its millennium age. Without a doubt this has to be one of the best displays China has exhibited yet - the ground peppered with butterfly shaped golden leaves under a tree that has seen China slowly become the giant it is today.
